1. Financial Sector Expert/Senior Financial Sector Expert (Roster) – MCM
The Monetary and Capital Markets Department (MCM) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Washington, D.C., provides intellectual leadership and expertise in the IMF’s work on financial sector surveillance, central bank operations, monetary and macroprudential policies, financial regulation and supervision, sovereign debt management, crisis preparedness and management, and capital markets analysis. In its financial sector surveillance role, MCM carries out assessments of global financial stability risks and their implications for the IMF’s member countries; assessments of the soundness of individual countries’ financial systems (including linkages to the macro economy and effectiveness of financial regulations and supervisory oversight); and early identification, prevention, and mitigation of financial crises. MCM also supports capacity development in member countries, particularly in emerging markets and low-income economies. To effectively deliver these services, MCM collaborates closely with regional and multilateral organizations and financial sector standard-setters.

2. HQTA Financial Sector Expert/Senior Financial Sector Expert (Financial Institutions) – MCMGA
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has an opening for an HQTA (Financial Sector Expert/Senior Financial Sector Expert) in its Monetary and Capital Markets (MCM) Department, Global Markets Analysis (GA) Division. The appointment is for a contractual period of two years and can be extended to a maximum of four years, subject to budget availability and incumbent’s satisfactory performance. 3. Research Officer/Senior Research Officer – MCM
MCM’s Debt and Capital Markets Division (DM) has a vacancy for a Research Officer/Senior Research Officer. The post is for a staff appointment. DM focuses on: (i) analysis of trends and emerging risks in the sovereign debt space; (ii) capacity building and innovation in sovereign debt management and debt market development; and (iii) surveillance and application of Fund policies in country cases regarding sovereign debt, with emphasis on the market and financial stability implications of debt restructurings.

4. 2021 Research Assistant (Research Analyst) (Evergreen)
The Fund seeks dynamic and highly motivated Research Assistants with strong quantitative and analytical skills.The successful candidates should have the proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. The Research Assistants will be responsible for a wide range of support including, but not limited to, data gathering, econometrics, analysis of economic or statistical data sets, and basic programming for high-quality analyses.
